Baby Bradley Update

Its been a couple of months since I've blogged about anything.  (It's been a CRAZY couple of months.) So here is a Baby Bradley update.

First of all, we still haven't decided on a name but we do have it narrowed down to a few.  We will decide after he is born when we have had a chance to meet him in person.  Most of the names do start with the letter B.

He is scheduled to be here in less than a week.  Katy is scheduled to have a C-Section due to her titanium hip.  For those of you who don't know she is bionic. :) It is such an answer to prayer that she has made it 9 months without any major hip pain or troubles.  We are so thankful!

Our bags our packed.  The room is relatively set up.  We have more than we need because our friends and family have been so generous by giving gifts and gently used furniture, clothes, and baby stuff.  Katy also dominated the garage sale scene and Craigslist and got a great deal on some good stuff.  Apparently its custom for babies and their rooms to have colors so ours are bright blue & grey with a touch of orange.  (Think OKC Thunder)

I have learned so much in these past 9 months.  I mean who knew babies needed special laundry detergent?  Who knew there was a different between a blanket, swaddling blanket, and a receiving blanket?  Who knew there were so many types of baby bottles?  Who knew that everything is more expensive if it is for a baby?

Although it is less than a week away, I know I don't fully understand how my life is about to change.  People keep asking me if I am ready and I don't really know how to answer.  I do not feel qualified, prepared, or ready to assume the role of a Father.  But I don't think I'll ever truly be ready until he is officially here and we can bring him home and my God-given instincts kick in. I am as ready as I am going to be but I know there will be a big learning curve.  I am ready for the challenge, for the adventure, and to see my wonderful wife in action as an amazing Mom!

Thanks again for your continued support and prayers.  God is so Good!
