Halfway Through the 50 Day Challenge

For those of you that are a part of the 50 Day Challenge, we are nearing the halfway point!  My hope is that you are growing closer to God as you intentionally pursue Him each day.

For those of you that are following online and not attending the class you may not know that we are slowly working our way through Psalm 128.  This week we discussed verse 3 "Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house;"  Therefore, the majority of these challenges are directed for a husband to a wife.  If you are not married or if you are a woman then these may not directly apply but I challenge you to be creative and make them work for your situation.

The week 4 challenges are...

  • Share with someone how God has worked in your life this past month. - What have you learned?  How have you grown?  Have you noticed any differences?  Tell someone what you have been experiencing.
  • Pray with your wife.  - You should already be praying FOR your wife from week 2.  Keep doing that but also pray WITH her at least once a week.
  • Plan and go on a date by next week.  Arrange childcare and all details. - It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive but make sure the two of you get away for a couple hours alone.
  • Lighten your wife's load by taking over a household chore. - You can surprise her by doing it or you can ask her "What can I do around the house that would best lighten your load?"
  • Begin planning a romantic weekend getaway for later this Fall. - Again, it doesn't have to be fancy or expensive.  It could be a day trip to a nearby place or a full weekend at a B&B.  You know what your wife likes and what you can afford at this time.  The goal is to thoughtfully plan a day or 2 together.
  • Share your scripture to memorize, accountability plan, get out of debt plan, sphere of influence, and blessings that you developed from previous weeks. - If you are keeping up with this challenge, you are doing some great things!  Remember to share them with your wife and keep her informed in what you are learning and how you are growing.
See previous posts for the first 19 challenges.  We are halfway there!
