School starts in approximately 1 month! I don't know about you but I am excited! I enjoy my time off in the summer to rest, reflect, and recharge so I may start in August with a refreshed spirit. If you are a person that prays, it is never too early (or too late) to begin praying for the upcoming school year.
If you are a teacher/staff/administrator...
- Pray that your students will come to you eager to learn.
- Pray that your students' parents will encourage them and instill in them a love for learning.
- Ask God to renew and refresh your spirit for teaching and impacting lives this school year.
- Pray that your life with overflow with the Love, Grace, & Peace of God so that students, parents, and fellow staff members will notice a difference in you and how you treat others.
If you are a parent...
- Pray that your child will enter this next grade with a renewed desire to learn.
- Pray that he/she will make friends with those that are good influences.
- Pray that your child will make an effort to be a good influence on others, showing them the Grace of God.
- Pray that your child's teachers will come to school each day with unlimited passion and patience.
- Pray that your child's principals will have the wisdom and courage to provide the safest and best learning environment for students to learn.
- Pray and ask God to fill you with the desire to learn and grow.
- Pray that your teachers will rest this summer so they may teach with enthusiasm.
- Pray for your classmates and ask God to prepare their hearts and mind so they may focus and learn when school starts.
- Pray that your principals will have the wisdom and courage to provide the safest and best learning environment for you to learn.
Despite its flaws, we are truly blessed with the education system in America. Although it is frowned upon to pray in public schools and corporately teach students, parents, and teachers about Jesus, may we live our lives in such a way that others notice a difference. May we always show the Grace that God have shown us. May we always show compassion and love. May we always teach with a sense of passion and boldness. May we be a reflection of Christ in all we say and do.
