What you see in yourself is what you see in the world.
I ran across this old proverb this past week and it really made me think. As someone who deals with students and adults on a regular basis, this proverb could not be more true.
I see students who are mad at the world and believe the world is mad at them. Could it be that what they are really mad at is themselves?
I see teachers and parents who believe their students are lazy and unsuccessful. Could it be that they are actually frustrated at their own laziness and unhappy where they are in their own career and life?
I see people of all ages who are so negative and are constantly looking for the worst in everything. Could it be that they have been conditioned to only see the worst in themselves?
Let's try this from a different perspective.
What you see in yourself is what you see in the world.
I ran across this old proverb this past week and it really made me think. As someone who deals with students and adults on a regular basis, this proverb could not be more true.
I see students who are so joyful on a daily basis and believe that the world was made for them to conquer. Could it be that what they really see is an opportunity to make a difference in the world.
I see teachers and parents who believe their students are talented and destined for greatness. Could it be that they believe that they are also talented and destined for greatness?
I see people of all ages who are so positive and constantly looking for the best in everything. Could it be that they see have been conditioned to see the best in themselves and believe in their abilities.
What you see in yourself is what you see in the world. What do you see?
